Got Littles?

Tyndale offers a growing collection of children's and young adult books. You'll find our children's titles in the “Little Tyndales” section of the library, which features books for children from toddlers to teens. Young adult fiction is shelved in stacks under the 800s.

News

Tyndale provides access to a wide range of journal and newspaper databases, as well as physical copies. These include the Access World News Research Collection, which features local and international newspapers; the County Highway; the Chronicle of Higher Education, and more. All digital resources can be accessed through the “Links” page under the Library tab on Populi.

Loan Policies

This section includes the loan terms and a fines and fees schedule for all library patrons. The basics that apply to all accounts are as follows:

  • Holdable items will be held for 3 days once pulled. Except for items placed on Limited Circulation, these will be held for 1 day once pulled.
  • Every patron type has a max fine balance, if the total fines on an account hit this amount the patron will no longer be able to check out items until they get their fines under the max balance. Max balances are listed next to each patron type listed in the tabs above.
  • Items will be considered lost after 60 days overdue for staff, students, and patrons (alumni/community members). Items considered lost after 90 days overdue for faculty. Once an overdue item goes to lost status the associated patron account will be charged the replacement cost for that item. See the library handbook attached below for more information on this point or for a basic FAQ.
  • Generally Periodicals are non-circulating materials. The exception to this is that faculty may check out up to 10 issues of physical periodicals at a given time for 7 days, and they may be renewed up to 3 times.
  • See the library handbook attached below for a full list of other non-circulating materials or collections.

To see the specific loaning policies and/or fines and fees scale for your patron group, please select the tab associated with your status (NSA student, NSA Faculty, NSA Staff, NSA Alumni, or Community Member) above.
